GM RECALLS OVER 62,000 CHEVROLET SILVERADO PICKUPS DUE TO FIRE RISK

General Motors is recalling more than 62,000 Chevrolet Silverado pickups due to a potential fire hazard linked to the brake pressure sensor assembly.

According to GM, the sensor may leak brake fluid, which could lead to a short circuit and increase the risk of fire—whether the vehicle is in motion or parked.

The recall affects Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD models from 2019 through 2025. Until repairs are made, owners are urged to park the vehicles outdoors and away from buildings as a safety precaution, per federal safety regulators.

GM says it will notify affected owners and provide details about the fix once it’s available.
