RECALL OF NEARLY 150,000 POUNDS OF BOLOGNA NATIONWIDE

Gaiser’s European Style Provisions Inc. has issued a recall for nearly 150,000 pounds of bologna nationwide due to misbranding. The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service stated that the recalled products contain undeclared “meat or poultry source materials.”

According to a recall alert, “FSIS does not expect any adverse health effects” and “there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.” The ready-to-eat bologna was produced between March 20th and June 20th of this year. Consumers who have purchased these products are advised not to eat them.
