The Wabash County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Donald “Scott” Baird, a 54-year-old white male considered a fugitive from justice.
Baird is approximately 6 feet tall, weighs around 210 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. He is known to have previously lived at 327 N. Cherry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
On May 12, 2025, Baird was re-sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and ordered to report to the Wabash County Jail by noon on May 14. He failed to turn himself in, and a no-bond arrest warrant was issued for him on May 15, 2025. Authorities say Baird has a history of fleeing law enforcement.
Wabash County Crimestoppers is offering a $500 cash reward for information that leads directly to Baird’s arrest.
