Recreational shooters of all skill levels are invited to participate in the 15th Annual Young Leader Pistol Shoot, taking place on Saturday, July 12th, at the Carmi Rifle Club. Hosted by the White County Farm Bureau Young Leaders, the event promises a day of competition, prizes, and community support.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the shooting competition starting promptly at 9:00 a.m. Participants can pre-register online at www.whitecfb.com/pistolshoot. The entry fee is $35 per person, which includes lunch and drinks.
The .22 steel target shoot will feature six unique stations, each with five targets. Competitors will shoot five relays per target, and the lowest relay time will be dropped. The remaining times are combined for a final score, with the lowest overall time winning in each class. The event is open to both adult and youth shooters, ages 12 and up.
All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a Ruger Mark IV .22 target pistol, sponsored by Red’s Recoil Enterprises of Norris City. The top three finishers in each class will receive additional entries in the drawing.
