The Fairfield Business and Professional Women’s (BPW) Foundation has awarded a total of five $2,000 scholarships to deserving Wayne County students for the 2025–2026 academic year, continuing its commitment to supporting the educational goals of local women.
The high school scholarship recipient is Hannah Fickas, a senior at Cisne High School, who plans to attend Olney Central College to pursue a degree in Business.
Additionally, four mature woman scholarships were presented to Wayne County residents furthering their education:
Molly McNeil, attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale for a degree as a Physician Assistant
Bailey Biggs, attending Murray State University, majoring in Secondary Education in English
Cecilia Choate, attending the University of Southern Indiana for Dental Hygiene
Lily Simpson, also attending the University of Southern Indiana, studying Accounting and Agricultural Business Administration
The Fairfield BPW Foundation continues to recognize and invest in the potential of local women by helping them achieve academic and professional success.
