First Financial Bank has announced plans to close its Fairfield branch at 303 W. Delaware this fall. The branch will officially cease operations on September 30th.
Local Branch Manager, Jaimi Kimmel says that the Fairfield location is smaller compared to other branches, which are typically located in larger metropolitan areas. She emphasized that online banking services will remain unchanged for Fairfield customers, with only in-person banking being affected by the closure.
Kimmel also noted that staff members have the option to transfer to other branch locations or accept severance packages if they choose.
The closure will not impact the bank’s other locations. First Financial Bank, headquartered in Terre Haute, Indiana, will continue to operate 26 branches across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. Nearby branches in Lawrenceville, Mt. Vernon, Olney, and Salem will remain open.
Founded in 1834, First Financial Bank is one of the oldest financial institutions in the United States and has built a strong regional presence throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
Customers with questions about the closure or their accounts are encouraged to contact the Fairfield branch before the final day of operation.
