Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative will return more than $2 million in capital credits to its members this year, with the funds being issued in August.
Starting this year, Wayne-White CEO Chris Hopfinger announced that the method of returning capital credits will change. Instead of mailing checks, the money will be credited directly to members’ August bills. Hopfinger stated that this approach will save the cooperative money on printing and mailing costs and reduce the risk of checks being lost in the mail.
Members are advised to review their August bills to see the credited amount. It’s important to note that this bill credit will only be available to active Wayne-White members. Inactive members will still receive their capital credits via check.
