SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS MAKE THEIR APPEARANCE IN WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT

Justin P. Downen, 52, of Fairfield, pled guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 24 months of probation, ordered to pay court costs, and received credit for 2 days served in Wayne County Jail. Additionally, Downen is required to undergo an alcohol and drug assessment if deemed necessary by probation.

 

Jesse L. Downen, 58, also of Fairfield, pled guilty to criminal damage to property. He was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs. The court credited him with 6 days served in Wayne County Jail.

 

Leatha West, 57, of Fairfield, admitted to violating her previous 18-month probation related to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. The court resentenced her to a new two-year probation term, with a 90-day stayed sentence in Wayne County Jail if she violates the new probation. West is also ordered to pay court costs and undergo an alcohol and drug assessment if required.

 

Jon E. Simpson, 63, of Fairfield, also admitted to violating a previous one-year probation for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was resentenced to a conditional discharge for one year, with a 90-day stayed sentence in Wayne County Jail if he breaches the new probation. Simpson is additionally ordered to pay court costs.
