Mondelez Global LLC has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of some Ritz Cracker Sandwiches after discovering a labeling error that could pose a risk to people with peanut allergies.
The recall affects packages labeled as containing cheese filling, which actually contain peanut butter filling. While the outer cartons are labeled correctly and do include an allergen warning, the individually wrapped packs inside may not display that information.
According to Mondelez, there have been no reports of severe allergic reactions related to the mislabeling.
