Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s 58th annual Ag Field Day is scheduled for Thursday, July 17th, at the Belleville Research Center. The event is free and primarily aimed at farmers, but it is also open to the general public.
Organizers invite everyone to join farmers, agricultural professionals, and community members to learn from experts in areas such as weed science, soil health, insect management, weather trends, and more. The event will take place rain or shine, and pre-registration is not required.
The day will begin with a welcome address at the research center near Scott Air Force Base at 8:30 a.m., followed by the main program starting at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served at 12 p.m.
Organizers anticipate approximately 200 attendees for the field day.
