Important Information Needed for Registration:
Insurance: Students participating in sports, IHSA activities, Auto, Industrial Arts, or Agriculture classes must have insurance. The district does not provide coverage. Parents should provide the insurance company name and policy or IPA number.
Emergency Contacts: Parents are required to provide names and phone numbers of emergency contacts in case they cannot be reached. It is crucial that this information remains up to date.
New Student Requirements:
Kindergarten students or any new students must present an official birth certificate.
If an official birth certificate is unavailable, a passport, visa, or other government-issued ID may be used, along with an affidavit explaining the lack of documentation.
Proof of Residency: Residency verification is required for registration. If residency is not on file, a current tax bill and utility bill must be provided. Registration cannot be completed until proof of residency meets Illinois School Code requirements.
For more information, parents and guardians are encouraged to contact their child’s school or visit the Edwards County School District website.
