FAIRFIELD POLICE MAKE MULTIPLE ARRESTS IN RECENT INCIDENTS

The Fairfield Police Department has reported several arrests over the past week involving charges ranging from drug possession to disorderly conduct.

 

Officers responded around 7:20 pm Sunday to the 300 block of Highland Avenue after receiving information about stolen items allegedly being held at a residence. Bobby W. Cottrill, 47, of Fairfield, was arrested for methamphetamine possession, possession of a controlled substance, and theft. Cottrill was booked into the Wayne County Jail.

 

Saturday while on duty at the Wayne County Fairgrounds Demolition Derby, officers were called to the southwest corner of the track following a disturbance. Holly D. Kessler, 36, of Louisville, Illinois, was reportedly arguing with officials and refused to leave the track. After failing to comply with officers’ instructions, Kessler was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing a peace officer. She was transported to the Wayne County Jail and released pending charges.

 

Monday at approximately 5:00pm while patrolling the 900 block of South 1st Street, officers spotted Justin K. Lock, 35, of Fairfield, who was known to have an outstanding Failure to Appear Warrant for methamphetamine possession. Lock was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Wayne County Jail, awaiting a court appearance.

Also Monday around 5:00 PM, officers responded to the 1000 block of SW 2nd Street where they made contact with Peter J Daubs, 42 of Fairfield. Daubs was known to have an outstanding Wayne County Warrant for Failure to Register as a sex offender. Daubs was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Jail pending an appearance in front of a judge.
