A Mt. Vernon, IL man has been arrested following an investigation into a residential fire.
Media reports say 29 year old Jory Brown was arrested following an ongoing investigation into a fire at a residence on 11 Circle Drive in Waltonville back on June 13th. The residence is owned by the Housing Authority of Jefferson County.
Brown was taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center following his arrest. Along with the arson charge, he faces a charge of criminal damage to state-supported property. The Waltonivlle Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Arson Investigator assisted in the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
