Last Tuesday, Nick Knapp delivered an oral report to the Illinois Eastern Community College District Board regarding current and upcoming Capital Projects. The Board approved the 2025-2026 IECC academic catalog, which is available on the IECC website at https://iecc.edu/catalog
The Board also waived a second reading and approved revisions to the Vacation Leave Policy 400.12. The updates increase the maximum accumulation of vacation leave for Non-Exempt and Classified employees from 25 to 30 days. This change does not affect the total vacation days earned by employees.
Revisions to the Remote Work Policy 400.36 were approved to promote a consistent and fair approach to off-site work arrangements across the District.
The Board authorized a special meeting scheduled for August 4 at 8:30 a.m. at the Terry L. Bruce West Richland Center. This meeting will serve as both a Board Training Day and a working retreat focused on the District’s future operations and strategic planning. No formal actions will be taken during this session.
The Resource Allocation and Management Plan (RAMP) for Fiscal Year 2027 was approved. This capital improvement plan emphasizes restroom accessibility and ADA compliance throughout the District.
The Fiscal Year 2026 Budget was also approved, projecting revenues of $34,937,033 and expenses of $33,306,466 for the upcoming year.
The Board approved employment for Jack Knittle as Math Instructor at Wabash Valley College, effective August 13.
Resignation ratification was granted for Jayden Pinkston, Information Systems Technician at LTC, effective July 1, 2025.
The next regular Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. at Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel. Additionally, the approved special Board Retreat will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Terry L. Bruce West Richland Center.
