ALBION STUDENT WINS STATE PATRIOTIC ART CONTEST, ADVANCES TO NATIONALS

Audrey Greatline of Albion has earned top honors in the State of Illinois Patriotic Art Contest, taking 1st place and receiving a $500 award. The prize was presented by Marsha Wiseman on behalf of VFW Post #8222 Albion. Original entries for the contest were due in March. As a local winner, Greatline received $100. She was selected as the state winner in June.
Audrey’s winning artwork now advances to the National VFW Convention in August for judging, where it will compete against entries from across the country. Greatline will be a Senior at Edwards County High School.
The award and contest were sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary in Albion.
