Curtis Varney 89, of McLeansboro, IL. passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital, McLeansboro. Curtis was born June 27, 1936 in Broughton, IL. He married Teoria Clevenger on November 23, 1962 in White County Illinois. Teoria passed away November 22, 2022.
Curtis attended Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and he loved hunting. He was a welder for Babcock & Wilcox of Mt. Vernon, IN. and Joy Manufacturing in Mt. Vernon, IL. Curtis served as an E4 in the United States Army.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Teoria and sister, Doris Varney, Hughey, IL.
Graveside services will be at 9:00 A.M., Friday, July 25, 2025 at Hopewell Cemetery, McLeansboro, IL. with pastor Matt Barnard officiating.
Harre Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
