National Average Slips Lower

The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has ticked higher. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.15 a gallon, a nickel higher than Monday. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.39 a gallon, down a penny from Monday. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.10 a gallon, six cents lower than Monday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average $2.70, two cents higher than Monday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.46 a gallon, up three cents.
