Joy Welch, 80, of McLeansboro, IL. passed away Monday, August 4, 2025 at Fox Meadows Supportive Living, McLeansboro, IL. Joy was born November 18, 1944 in Henderson, KY. Joy was a daughter of Clayton Jones. She enjoyed her life with her companion Irvin Ragan and his entire family until his passing, July 22, 2017.
Joy was a member of the Christian Chapel Baptist Church in McLeansaboro, she was a secretary. She had volunteered at Hamilton Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, liked to read and crochet but most of all loved playing with and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved spending holidays with family.
Survivors include her daughters, Paula D. Webb and husband Jim, Elizabethtown, IL. and Pam Welch and close friend Tom, Carmi, IL. Grandchildren include Ashley Siedler and husband Nathan, McLeansboro, Alex Webb and wife Jenny, Mt. Carmel, IL., Jacob Webb, Evansville, IN. and Caleb Mitchell and wife Sydney, Evansville, IN. Also surviving is great grandchildren, Adlee Siedler, Bennett Webb and Meadow Mitchell. Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews along with great great Nieces and Nephews and Cousins also survive. Best friends Sharon and Kenny Ingram and many more friends. A sister-in-law Sharon Jones and a brother-in-law Jacque Lamb also survive.
Joy was preceded in death by her father, Clayton Jones, companion Irvin Ragan, two brothers, Deway Jones and Ralph Jones, sister, Phyllis Cantrell and husband Kenny, one grandson, Joshua Brown and many members of the Welch family.
Visitation will be 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro with burial following at White County Memorial Gardens, Carmi, IL. with Pastor Eric Ragan officiating.
Memorials may be given to the charity of choice and left at the funeral home.
