The Clay County Coroner’s Office has confirmed a fatal crash that occurred on Monday at approximately 5:34 PM. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle collision located just north of Coon Creek Road on Blue Mound Road.
Clay County Coroner Bryce Henry identified one of the drivers as 34-year-old Cassidy A. Robinson of Eldorado who was transported to Clay County Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The Clay County Ambulance Service, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Flora First Responders, and Illinois State Police all assisted at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details are being released at this time.
