WAYNE COUNTY PROPERTY TAX BILLS SENT OUT IN THE MAIL

Wayne County Treasurer, Yvette Anderson announced that property tax bills have been mailed as of Tuesday, August 12th. Residents are reminded that the first installment is due on October 3rd followed by the second installment on November 10th.

Tax payments can be made in several convenient ways:

In-person at the Treasurer’s office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Using the payment box located on the west side of the courthouse.

Online at www.waynecountyiltax.com.

At participating banks: Fairfield National Bank, Bean Capital Banking Center, Peoples National Bank, Trust Bank, and Citizens National Bank.

Residents are encouraged to review their tax bills to ensure they are receiving all applicable exemptions. Additional information, including payment options and a directory for taxpayer questions, can be found on the back of the tax bill. There is also an option to sign up for the pre-payment plan.
