NORTH WAYNE CUSD 200 HOLDS STAFF MEETING WITH A FORMER ST LOUIS CARDINALS PITCHER AS SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER

North Wayne Unit School District 200 kicked off the new school year with its large staff meeting on Tuesday, August 12th hosted at Blue Point Church. District officials expressed gratitude to the church for providing the venue, as well as to those who helped organize the event and prepare a meal for the staff.

The highlight of the meeting was keynote speaker Al Hrabosky, known to baseball fans as the “Mad Hungarian.” Hrabosky, who will be inducted into the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame on September 6th delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of education. He encouraged staff to “compete for our students,” sharing his passion for supporting children across the country and his deep respect for educators.
