XENIA FIREMEN’S PICNIC SET FOR AUGUST 23RD WITH FULL DAY OF EVENTS

The Xenia Firemen’s Picnic will take place on Saturday, August 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to midnight on Front Street by the Fire Department, offering a full day of activities, food, and entertainment.

Lickin’ My Chicken Pullin’ My Pork BBQ will cater from 2:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The day kicks off with a flea market and beer tent opening at 2:00 p.m., alongside a cornhole tournament. A tractor pull at the Xenia Community Center/Park starts at 12:00 noon with admission $10, kids 12 and under FREE and pit passes available for $15. Porkburgers, hot dogs, fish sandwiches, fries and drinks served from 11am to 8pm. A car show will be held with registration from 9am to 2pm, $15 entry fee and awards will be presented at 3pm

Additional activities include a beer pong tournament at 5:00 p.m., bingo at 6:00 p.m., a cake walk at 4pm and a live auction following bingo and a 50/50 raffle at 8pm. A Kid Zone with bounce houses will also open at 11am for family fun.

Raffle tickets are on sale for two whole hogs with processing, provided by Behrmann Meat & Processing. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, with the drawing to be held during the picnic.

The evening will feature live music from the Matt Poss Band, taking the stage at 9:00 p.m.

Lemon shake-ups, wacky lemonade, cotton candy, and other treats will be available throughout the day. Proceeds from the event support the Xenia Volunteer Fire Department.
