Fairfield Memorial Hospital has announced leadership changes, including the hiring of an interim Chief Nursing Officer and the elimination of its Chief Medical Officer position.
Jennifer Hamilton Gilpin has been named interim Chief Nursing Officer, replacing Rachel (McCulley) Ewing, who was terminated in June during a leadership shakeup at the hospital.
Gilpin is employed by Deaconess Health Systems in Evansville, where she has served as Affiliates Manager since April. Prior to that, she was Director of Quality at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She holds multiple nursing-related degrees, including a Master’s in Health Administration.
The position of Chief Medical Officer has been eliminated. The role had been held by Dr. Patrick Molt since August 1st, 2022, and was officially removed as of August 1st this year as leadership from Deaconess Health Systems is already providing oversight in that area.
