Fairfield is gearing up to celebrate the 57th Annual Fall Fun Fest from Wednesday, September 17th through Saturday, September 20th with a full schedule of music, contests, parades, and family activities.
This year’s festival kicks off Wednesday, September. 17th with Church Night on the Main Stage from 6:30pm-9pm.
Thursday, September. 18th events include Kids’ Activities at Freedom Park from 5pm-8pm, the FNB 5K Run/Walk, corner of Court & 4th St, registration at 4:30pm with the race starting at 6pm and awards at 7pm, and the always-popular Prince & Princess Contest at 5:30 pm on the Main Stage. Evening entertainment includes Art After Dark, from 6pm to 9pm at RJ on Main and the Miss Fairfield Fall Fun Fest Pageant on the Main Stage at 7:30 pm
On Friday, September. 19th, kids’ activities from 5pm to 8pm at Freedom Park along with live music from Bill Grimes One-Man Band featuring Terry Smith and Bob Grimes from 6pm-7:30pm. The Traveling Salvation Show, Neil Diamond Tribute will headline the evening on the Main Stage from 8pm-10pm.
Saturday, September. 20th will be packed with activities beginning with a Community Breakfast at the Masonic Lodge and the Fall Fun Fest Rib Cook-Off. Other highlights include the Gerald J Memorial Fishing Event, a Mixed Teams Pickleball Tournament, the LeMond Chevrolet Chrysler Car Show, the Fall Fun Fest Baked Goods Contest and Hanna House 20th Birthday Celebration.
For kids, the WADI/Headstart Kiddie Parade kicks off at 10:30 a.m., followed by Kiddie Korner Activities on the High Rise lawn, including pumpkin decorating, tattoos, and a petting zoo.
Saturday afternoon features the Pedal Pull hosted by Cisne FFA Alumni, the Fairfield Live Variety Show at 2 p.m. on the Main Stage, FCHS Band performing on the Main Stage and evening entertainment with Bingo under the tent next to City Hall, Chuck A Duck at the FNB drive-thru and the Fall Fun Fest concludes Saturday night with the Duke Boys performing on the Main Stage from 6:30pm-9:30pm.
There will be a seating/eating area added on North East Second Street this year – in the general area of the former entertainment tent. A tent will be set up with tables and chairs for a more convenient eating experience. It will also house the first Bingo Under The Tent on Saturday evening of the Fest.
The tent will be provided by Frontier Community College.
