The Du Quoin State Fair has announced its 2025 theme days. Manager Luke Davison says theme days are a fun way to show off everything that makes the fair special over its 11-day run.
The fair opens Friday, August 22nd with Family Night. Other highlights include Governor’s Day August 23rd, Veterans Day August 24th, Agriculture Youth Day August 25th, Republican Day August 26th, Senior Day August 27th, Sponsor Appreciation Day August 28th, Illinois Tourism Day August 29th, Coal Heritage Day and SIU College Day August 30th, First Responders Day August 31st, and Labor Day September 1st.
The ribbon cutting is set for Friday at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Twilight Parade at 6, with Dr. Glenn Poshard as grand marshal.
Admission is free, and parking is free opening night. After that, it’s $15 at Gate 1 and $10 at other gates. More details are online at dsf.illinois.gov.
