CARMI CVS PHARMACY TO CLOSE SEPTEMBER 3RD

The CVS Pharmacy on West Main Street in Carmi will close its doors on Wednesday, September 3rd. Company officials say prescriptions from the Carmi location will be automatically transferred to the CVS in Fairfield, though customers may choose to move their prescriptions to any pharmacy.
A CVS spokesperson said shifts in population and “market dynamics” were considered in making the decision.
Earlier this year, the company announced plans to close 270 pharmacies nationwide in 2025.
