Several Sentenced Locally in Court

Several individuals received sentences Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court.

Frankie M. Chritt, 29, of Fairfield, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine and was placed on 24 months probation, plus court costs. He was given credit for two days served in the Wayne County Jail.

Christina M. Newcombe, 49, of Sims, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed on one year of court supervision, ordered to pay court costs, and credited with three days served in jail.

Todd Ray, 36, of Fairfield, admitted violating a previous probation order on an original burglary charge. He was sentenced to two years of new probation, ordered to pay costs, and given a 180-day stayed sentence in the Wayne County Jail if he violates probation.

David J. Kunce, 64, of Fairfield, admitted violating probation on an original charge of driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to two years of new probation, ordered to pay costs, and given a 180-day stayed jail sentence if he violates probation.

Kelli J. Cottrill, 42, of Fairfield, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She received one year of court supervision, court costs, and five days’ credit for time served.

Troy M. McGaha, 58, of Fairfield, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay costs.

Bobby W. Cottrill, 48, of Fairfield, was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance from April 24 of this year. He received 60 days’ credit for time served in jail.

Steven A. Snyder, 49, of Fairfield, was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, an offense dating back to September 27, 2024.
