The Wayne County Democratic Party met on Wednesday, August 20th at the Wayne County Courthouse, focusing on community outreach and preparations for the 2026 election season.
During the meeting, members discussed their active participation in State Rep. Dave Severin’s Recycled Bench Project. Volunteers will be collecting plastic caps throughout the county, contributing to the environmentally friendly initiative that turns recycled materials into benches for local use.
In addition to their recycling efforts, the party is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win one of five signed book bundles. Raffle sales will take place at Geff Frontier Days, Fairfield Fall Fun Fest, and Wayne City Bean Days, with proceeds supporting the party’s community programs and election activities.
The party is also developing a Wayne County Political Guide, which will provide voters with important information about the offices and positions up for election in Spring 2026. The guide is intended to help residents better understand their choices and encourage informed participation at the polls.
The Wayne County Democratic Party’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 17th
