>>Report: Chiefs Do Not Sign CB McDuffie To Extension
(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs are not expected to sign their top cornerback to an extension before the start of the new season. ESPN reports that Kansas City and Trent McDuffie are not expected to agree to a contract extension before the first game of the season. The 24-year-old is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract and is set to earn a base salary just north of 2.6-million-dollars. The Chiefs exercised the fifth-year option on McDuffie’s deal in the offseason, which makes his 13.6-million-dollar salary in 2026 fully guaranteed.
>>Report: Cowboys Sign CB Bland To Four-Year Extension
(Frisco, TX) — The Cowboys are rewarding a member of their secondary with a long-term contract. Dallas is signing Pro Bowl cornerback DaRon Bland to a four-year extension that is reportedly worth 92-million-dollars. The deal includes 50-million-dollars in guaranteed money and a 22-million-dollar signing bonus. The 26-year-old set an NFL record in 2023 by returning five interceptions for touchdowns. Bland was limited to seven games last season because of a stress reaction in his left foot that required surgery. He finished the year with 41 tackles and five pass deflections.
