After nearly three decades of leadership, Jill Andrews has sold Kiddie Kollege in Fairfield, effective September 1st. In a statement issued on the Kiddie Kollege Facebook page, Andrews founded and administered the center for more than 29 years, shaping it into a nationally accredited program recognized for quality early childhood education. Andrews says the new owner is Chris Isbell from Orange Beach, Alabama. Isbell is a 25-year owner of Leapfrog Childcare LLC based in Orange Beach. Andrews says she feels confident and comfortable in the new owner as Isbell has the same ideas that Andrews has had over the past 29 years.
Though under new ownership, Kiddie Kollege officials say nothing will change in the care or education provided. The teachers, administrative staff, programs, policies, and routines will remain the same.
Andrews will stay on for the next year to ensure a smooth transition and will continue guiding the center in its role as a NAEYC Accredited, Gold Circle of Quality program. Beyond that, Andrews has indicated plans to remain active in early childhood advocacy, working with state agencies to improve childcare policies and support the workforce.
“We are excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to serve the children and families of Wayne County and surrounding communities for many years to come,” the center said in a statement.
