Several guilty pleas were entered in Wayne County Court last Thursday before Resident Judge Matt Vaughn.
Shakeitha S. Garrett, 39, of Albion, pled guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor theft. She was sentenced to two years of court supervision and ordered to pay court costs. Three other cases against Garrett were dismissed, which had included charges of trespassing, driving uninsured, speeding over 20 mph with a child unrestrained, and driving uninsured with a revoked or cancelled registration. Garrett’s theft charge dated back to June 2024.
Alison P. Rudy, 24, of Flora, pled guilty to criminal trespass to a residence. She received one year of conditional discharge and was ordered to pay court costs. As part of the plea, a second charge of unlawful video recording of a residence was dismissed, and Rudy was ordered to comply with a no-contact order protecting a Xenia man. The case was originally filed in February.
Jamie Sue Allen, 39, also pled guilty to misdemeanor theft, a charge stemming from June 2023. She was sentenced to one year of court supervision, credited for one day served in the Wayne County Jail, and ordered to pay court costs. Allen had been arrested in May in Saline County on a failure-to-appear warrant from 2023 and later given a new court date in Wayne County.
