Excitement is building as Ford Town Fun Fest in Flora prepares to host its 2nd annual Chili Cookoff on Saturday, September 20th from 12 to 5 pm, and organizers are now accepting entries from both organizations and individuals.
After last year’s successful debut, this year’s event features several new updates. participants can cook using any heat source they choose, though electric outlets will be limited based on the number of entries. while ingredients may be prepped off-site, all chili must be assembled at the festival.
The competition is free to enter, and the winner will walk away with a $100 gift card. judging will be determined by the number of tickets received from tasters, making this a true crowd favorite event.
The Flora Tourism Committee will provide sample cups and spoons for guests. organizers are emphasizing that this event is meant to be fun and enjoyable for everyone, and encourage any person or organization to sign up.
