WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT NEWS THURSDAY

A Sims woman and three men were sentenced Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court.

Rose M. Buchanan, 77, of Sims, pled guilty to Unlawful Violation of Animal Owners’ Duties. She was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge and ordered to pay court costs.

Timothy Campbell, 54, pled guilty to Theft and received a four-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections. His sentence will run concurrent with a Clay County case. Campbell, who is already serving time at Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro, was also ordered to pay $8,250 in restitution to the victim.

Tanner Horath, 30, of Olney pled guilty to Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. He was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay court costs. Horath was also given a stayed sentence of 60 days in the Wayne County Jail, which will be imposed if he violates probation.

Caleb Czak, 26, of Fairfield, pled guilty to Theft. He was sentenced to 24 months of probation following a 180-day jail term to be served in the Wayne County Jail, along with court costs.
