WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT ARRESTS TWO ON WARRANTS

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department reported the arrest of two individuals on Thursday evening.

Arthur Ray Barger, 44, of Carmi was arrested on a Wayne County warrant for Failure to Appear. His original charges include Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, two counts of Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer, and Obstructing Justice. He is currently lodged in the Wayne County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

Kenneth G. Simpson, 35, of Fairfield was arrested on a Wayne County Failure to Appear warrant related to an original charge of Driving While License Suspended. He failed to appear in court on May 13th. Simpson was released and given a Notice to Appear in Wayne County Circuit Court.
