The Edwards County Commissioners will meet Monday, September 8th at 9 a.m. at the Edwards County Courthouse.
Agenda items include updates from Sheriff Darby Boewe and the County Highway Department, a review of county highway building repairs, and discussion of property damage reported by Wesley and Charlene Lynch. Commissioners will also review the Illinois State Water Survey and consider the FY23 audit and financial report.
Other items on the agenda include a TB Board appointment, review of the FY2026 budget, adoption of the Edwards County Hazard Mitigation Plan, and possible revisions to the county’s solar and wind ordinance.
Appointments are also scheduled for the County Treasurer, Kent Hortin to the Big Creek/Butter Creek Drainage and Levee District, and the GWRPC Board of Directors. Commissioners will also hear reports on the landfill, EMS, and correspondence, before approving claims and adjourning.
Also, the Edwards County Public Building Commission will meet Monday, September 8th at 10:30 a.m. at the Edwards County Courthouse, following the County Commissioners’ meeting.
Agenda items include approval of minutes from the August 4th special meeting, old business regarding courthouse doors and a jail update, and new business including flooring for the courthouse and review of the FY25–26 budget.
The commission will also review bills for approval before adjourning.
