FAIRFIELD CITY COUNCIL TO MEET SEPTEMBER 9TH

The Fairfield City Council will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

Items on the agenda include:
An audit report from Kemper CPA
A petition for disconnection from Brandon Cline regarding property at 1233 S. First Street
An ordinance to vacate an easement in the Fairfield Industrial Park for Frontier College
A resolution to close streets for the December 6 Christmas Parade
Consideration of a revolving loan for Christina Copeland and Mackenzie Stewart, doing business as Grace and Bloom
Awarding a bid for general road maintenance projects
Street closing requests for the Elk’s Club during Fall Fun Fest and for a pickleball tournament on September 20 (rain date September 21)
Seeking bids for water filtration chemicals and for the city’s liability insurance
An airport maintenance agreement
Setting Halloween trick-or-treat dates
Recreation fund expenditure requests for various projects
Declaring 3 Hill Drive a dangerous building
An update on the city power plant

The meeting will also include approval of minutes and bills, financial reports, and time for public comments. An executive session is scheduled, if needed before adjournment.
