A death investigation is underway in Eldorado after an early morning incident on Sunday.
Illinois State Police is assisting in the case. The incident occurred at 5:06 a.m. at the intersection of Benton Street and 1st Street. Authorities cleared the scene by around 10 a.m.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted jointly by the Eldorado Police Department and the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 8.
