Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop around 10 o’clock Friday night on NW 7th Street in Fairfield that led to the arrest of a Flora man.
Deputies identified passenger Scott E. Tolliver, 39, who was wanted on an active arrest warrant. When asked to exit the vehicle, Tolliver initially complied but then attempted to pull away from officers and re-enter the vehicle.
Deputies, with assistance from Fairfield Police Department officers, restrained Tolliver and placed him under arrest.
He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on charges of warrant arrest and resisting arrest.
