The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and EMS personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident on Illinois Highway 15 at the Boyleston Crossroads west of Fairfield just before 12:30 Saturday afternoon.
Deputies say a 2025 Chevrolet Trax driven by Scottie R. Robertson, 66, of McLeansboro was traveling westbound on IL Hwy 15 when a 2022 Ford truck driven by 29-year-old Logan Belcher of Harrisburg proceeded through the intersection northbound, failing to stop when the Belcher vehicle collided with the Robertson vehicle.
Robertson, along with passenger in his vehicle, 68-year-old Diana Robertson were transported by Wayne County Ambulance to Fairfield Memorial Hospital ER for treatment of injuries. Belcher refused treatment at the scene.
Logan Belcher was cited by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department for Failing to Obey a Stop Sign.
