The National Weather Service in Paducah says we’re starting the week with fantastic conditions across the region, highlighted by plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Today will bring continued sunshine with highs near 78 degrees and light easterly winds.
After that, a significant warming trend takes over beginning Tuesday. Temperatures will steadily climb through midweek, with highs expected to reach the lower 90s by Friday and Saturday—much warmer than the start of the week. The warm-up is being driven by ridging building across the region.
While winds are forecast to remain generally light, conditions remain abnormally dry to moderate drought across the area. With little to no rain in the next 7 to 10 days, those conditions are likely to deteriorate further. Fire danger isn’t expected to spike early in the week, but forecasters say it will be monitored closely as temperatures rise later in the week.
