Fairfield Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer Mike Cooper, employed through an affiliation agreement with Deaconess Health Systems, was terminated Monday afternoon. Cooper had served as CEO since July 15, 2024. No reason was given for his termination.
Prior to coming to Fairfield, Cooper worked at a hospital in Bedford, Indiana, and most recently in LaCrosse, Kansas.
Hospital officials announced that Andy Flemer has been appointed Interim CEO. He will begin his duties next week. Flemer previously served as CEO at Arkansas Valley Medical Center in Colorado.
