James Roscoe Lemons, 78, of Fairfield passed away at 10:05AM on Wednesday September 10, 2025, at his home.
James was born on May 10,1947 to James R lemons, Sr, and Mary Alice sheets. He was the owner of Bare Bunz Tanning Salon in Fairfield. James had a deep love for the simple joys in life- his horses and tractor, open road, camping, being a snowbird in Texas for the winter months and playing cards with the family. He enjoyed 4th of July family get togethers and great fireworks hosted by his brother-in-law Ron O’Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barb, sisters Gladys Kiger and Maxine connerley. and brother Charles.
He is survived by his wife Donna Lemons; daughter Pamela Boulanger (Lorris) of Florida; grandchildren: Alexa and Adison of Florida, Nikolas of New York. He loved his grandchildren dearly even though he didn’t get to spend much time with them.
His Kentucky family-step daughter- Malinda Stone (mark); step granddaughters-Maghan Vansickle (Jonathan) Celia Stevens and Morgan Jack; step great grandchildren-Mariah O’Guin (Carson), Hailey Vansickle, Amelia Jackson and Brantley Newman; nieces and nephews; and his winter Texan travel buddies, niece Carol Helm and her husband Mike.
At Jim’s request he will be cremated and There will be no formal service.
Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation.
