Fairfield Memorial Hospital welcomed Interim Chief Executive Officer Andy Flemer on Monday, following the dismissal of former CEO Mike Cooper last week after just over a year in the role.
Flemer comes to Fairfield Memorial from Arkansas Valley Regional Hospital in La Junta, Colorado, where he served as CEO of the 25-bed critical access hospital until his departure on May 31 of this year.
He joins Fairfield Memorial as part of its affiliation agreement with Indiana-based Deaconess Health Systems, where he is employed.
Flemer was hired at Arkansas Valley Regional in July 2022 and previously held leadership positions at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, and South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. He brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience to Fairfield Memorial.
