HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SCORES FROM FRIDAY NIGHT:
On Friday night, the Fairfield Mules shut out the Carmi-White County Bulldogs 44-0, for their first victory over Carmi in 4 years. In typical rivalry fashion, the game was highlighted by big offensive plays, and an impressive defense performance by the Mules and marred by numerous penalties.

The Mules offense dominated the contest and was led by Jude Carter’s 3 touchdown passes to Lane Robson, who tied the FCHS record for most receiving touchdowns in a game. Michael Barner, 9 rushes for 119 yards, and Logan Tullis, 13 rushes for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns, also put up impressive performances on the ground. The Mules defense was led by Will Lewis, with 8 combined tackles, and Aiden King, with 5 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

The 4-1 Mules will be on the road next week for a tough matchup with the undefeated Johnston City Indians.
