The City of Fairfield is reminding motorists that Norfolk Southern Railroad will close its crossing on South 1st St. (U.S. 45) beginning today (Monday) through Friday for surface repair work.
During the closure, a detour will be in place using King St, SW 4th St. and Highland Avenue. Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the areas of the detour.
