The City of Fairfield Water Department has announced that water service will be temporarily shut off in parts of the Lakeview area today (Wednesday, October 1st) to allow for repair work.
Water will be shut off beginning at 8 a.m. and is expected to be off for approximately 3 to 4 hours. The affected areas include:
Lakeview Drive from Florence to Shoreway Drive
All of Shoreway Drive
South side of York Drive from Florence to 7th Street
Once water service is restored, a boil order will be in effect for the impacted area until water sample testing confirms the supply is safe for consumption.
