The Edwards County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday at the Edwards County Courthouse.
Agenda items include updates from the sheriff, treasurer, and highway departments, along with a report on the county highway building project. Commissioners will also consider the appointment of an assistant public defender, updates on Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, and reappointments to the Edwards County Housing Authority Board (Kim Carlson and Doug Raber) and the WADI Board (Debbie Fearn).
Other business includes the appointment to fill the County Clerk and Recorder vacancy, discussion of solar and wind ordinance revisions, and the annual update on the Albion PV1 Solar Facility Project. The board will also review the FY 2026 budget, consider approval of the Regional Office of Education budget, and hear reports on county health, landfill, and EMS matters.
The day begins with a public hearing at 8:30 a.m. on a proposed amendment to the county’s solar ordinance, followed by the regular meeting at 9 a.m.
