The annual Fall Carnival in Wayne City will take place on Sunday, October 26th offering an afternoon of carnival games, costume judging, trunk or treat, and more for families in the community.
Festivities begin at 4 p.m., with costume judging scheduled throughout the afternoon. Judging times are divided by age groups: ages 0-2 at 4:00 p.m., ages 3-5 at 4:20 p.m., grades K-1st at 4:40 p.m., grades 2nd-3rd at 5:00 p.m., grades 4th-5th at 5:20 p.m., and grades 6th-12th at 5:40 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for scariest, most original, sweetest, and superhero/movie character costumes.
Trunk or Treat will be held in the Wayne City School parking lot, with families invited to enter anytime after 4:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to decorate their trunks, with creative prizes awarded for the best displays. Those interested in participating can sign up via text or call at 618-599-9291.
Those attending can also enjoy free hot dogs, pork burgers, chips, and drinks. Additional food will be available for sale from La Fuente and Lil Buddies.
Cake walks and carnival games will be available for kids throughout the event.
