MULTIPLE DEFENDANTS FACE FELONY CHARGES IN EDWARDS COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT

Several area residents are facing felony charges following recent filings in Edwards County Circuit Court:

42-year-old Christopher C. Jones of Grayville, has been charged with possession of less than five grams of suspected methamphetamine. The charge was filed on September 10th. Jones has been released with pretrial conditions and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Tuesday, October 14th.

Justin Hawkins, 45, of Albion, has been charged with aggravated battery of an individual over the age of 60 and domestic battery with bodily harm. The charges were filed on September 30th. Hawkins has been released from custody with pretrial conditions and is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for Friday, October 31st.

25-year-old Hunter B. Futrill of Albion faces multiple felony charges related to an alleged sexual abuse case. Futrill has been charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a person at least five years younger than himself, both Class-2 felonies, and one Class-4 felony charge of grooming. A judge has denied Futrill pretrial release. He is currently being held in the White County jail at Carmi for Edwards County, pending a pretrial hearing on Friday, October 10th.

Mikkel J. Pierce, 20, of Bone Gap, has been charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle. The charge was filed on August 31st. Pierce has been released with pretrial conditions and is slated to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on October 10th.
