38-year-old Joshua Rockett of Fairfield appeared in Wayne County Circuit Court on Tuesday for a pretrial hearing before Judge Denton Aud, accompanied by his attorney, T.J. Parish.
During the hearing, both the prosecution and defense mutually agreed to modify Rockett’s conditions of release to allow him to attend medical appointments. The final pretrial hearing has been scheduled for November 4th at 9 a.m.
Judge Aud advised both parties to have witness lists, exhibit lists, proposed jury instructions, and any pretrial motions filed by the date of the final pretrial hearing.
Rockett faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor in a position of trust, aggravated criminal sexual abuse for being more than five years older than the victim, and criminal sexual abuse.
He remains free under the supervision of Wayne County Pretrial Services pending further court proceedings.
